In this role she thrived upon the strong bonds developed with families. Philippa enjoyed supporting children with a range of challenges and adapting her practice to suit their unique cultural and family traditions. This has instilled in her a commitment to family-centred practice and a focus on targeting the goals that are most important to the child and their family.
Philippa has more recently enjoyed supporting children in private practice, schools, kindergartens, homes and clinic-based settings. She has a special interest in autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, self-regulation, toileting and fine motor skills. In her spare time Philippa enjoys being active and enjoying nature. She values this highly in her practice with children and encourages the use of movement as a self-regulation tool in sessions.
